Subreddit Buildapc - Making Dreams Become A Reality One Comment At A Time!

I had been considering a new PC for quite a while now. Mainly due to the fact that my current gaming laptop has been BSOD’ing way more than I would like (driver issues that I’ve been unable to pinpoint), and it’s just too limited for my audio work because of the integrated motherboard+soundboard (It won’t let me have audio focus in more than one program at a time, which makes live streaming difficult as well :/).

Initially I looked through pre-mades, such as: Dell, Doghouse Systems, Apple, Fry’s, etc. But it always ended up being way too expensive for what I was getting component-wise.. And I had thought building my own system, but I don’t know nearly enough about hardware to set one up efficiently.

But that’s where /r/Buildapc came in!

I had found the subreddit after browsing through subscriptions for my username: PuppetToTheSound, and figured, “What the hell, I’ll post a call for help and see what I get back.”

… And man did they deliver!

Within a few hours I had a build to go off of, insight into what would be best for music, and even suggestions on audio interfaces, monitor speakers, soundboards.. It was unbelievable!

I can’t thank you guys enough for what you did for me, now I have the road map to build what I’ve always wanted, all thanks to you. I don’t know when I’ll be able to start building (Yaaay current lack of money), but I can hardly wait to start!
